Parking Cars for a Cause

Parking cars is great way to support the arts! Volunteers are provided a reflective vest to wear while and assisting families with parking or working the tickets booth to help SoCCA raise money. Please arrive at 5:15 pm to get instructions and information from the Drive-In Manage. Volunteers can depart at dusk. We welcome volunteers for a range of activities: Concession and Raffle Sales, Set construction, costume creation, Social media engagement and Public Relations, Fund raising events planning, and more! NBYT has a core principal of accepting ALL students into our programs, regardless of the family's ability to afford tuition. So we are always seeking ways to maximize our Scholarship Fund.
Display Case Volunteer
Berlin-Peck Memorial Library
The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library is looking for a creative volunteer to help design and change out their lobby display case each month. Themes are predetermined (ex: poetry, holiday/season, best books, etc.) and supplies are provided. The volunteer will take down the previous month's display and work in coordination with library staff to create and design a new display. Experience in bulletin board design and knowledge of Canva preferred but not required. Time commitment would be approximately 2-5 hours per month. New Britain Youth Theater

Founded in 2010, New Britain Youth Theater was selected by Connecticut Magazine as Connecticut’s Best Children’s Theater in 2017, and Best Ct Playhouse in 2025 by the New Britain Herald. NBYT is a professionally-run community and educational theater for children and teens. NBYT is - and always has been - a youth theater that accepts children from all towns and communities, with all abilities, any race, any gender, with all and any level of experience, and to be involved in a variety of ways both onstage and off.NBYT produces a season of performances by and for children, young adults, & teens. We also do one multi-generational show each spring. This gives our young stars the chance to share the stage with seasoned performers. NBYT is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and young adults by encouraging creative thinking and collaborative teamwork, fostering self-confidence and self-esteem, and developing social, emotional, and academic skills through involvement in high-quality, affordable, and inclusive programs in the performing arts. NBYT operates its programs at South Church in New Britain, and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
