Pregnancy and Postpartum Mental Health: Education and Resources for Southington Families
Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington
Do you provide support during pregnancy and the postpartum period to families in Southington? We are looking for local perinatal support providers to participate in the ECCS's Pregnancy and Postpartum Mental Health educational program. The event will open with a presentation from the Postpartum Support International CT Chapter who will cover perinatal mood disorders, support, treatment and care resources. Support providers will then be able to explain their services. Materials can be displayed. Lactation consultants, doulas, mental health professionals and related providers are welcome.
Member of Board of Directors
Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington
The Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington’s mission is collaborating to ensure Southington’s children are healthy and prepared to learn through advocacy, programs, resources, and support. But we can’t do it alone. We are looking for adults who live or work in Southington to serve on our Board of Directors. We are especially looking for members with previous board experience who are in the medical field, legal field, sales or marketing field, or have good connections in town. The ECCS Board meets 9 times a year on the third Tuesday of the month at the ECCS office downtown. The focus is on overall strategy and governance of the organization.
Member of Community Table
Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington
As part of the CT Office of Early Childhood’s vision for CT’s early childhood system and their Early Start CT initiative, the ECCS became a Local Governance Partner (LGP). We are looking for adults who live or work in Southington to serve as members of our "Community Table." This is defined as a collaborative space that serves as a neutral, inclusive forum where diverse organizations, parents, and stakeholders come together to engage in open dialogue, share insights, and work towards collective community goals. The Community Table is required to meet 6 times a year. The timing varies, and we are meeting at the ECCS office downtown. In spring of 2026 we will be doing a local needs assessment.
