Kids Clean-Up!

Come join the Southington Land Conservation Trust and KinderWild Nature-Based Play & Learning to learn about how kids can help the Earth and join us as we clean up the pond and surrounding area at Panthorn Park. Bring gloves, a bucket or repurposed bag, and grabbers if you have them. We'll have a limited supply to lend out as well.We'll meet in the clearing just over the bridge by the pond. Earth Day Cleanup

Join us at near the Quinnipiac River to clean up this boat launch area for Earth Day with the SLCT. Bring gloves, grabbers if you have them, water, and a bucket or re-used bag to collect the litter. Senior Transportation Services (STS) is seeking compassionate Volunteer Drivers to help adults age 50+ remain independent and connected in our community. Volunteer Drivers use their own vehicles to provide safe, reliable transportation to medical appointments, pharmacies, and care facilities in Berlin, Meriden, New Britain, Plainville, Southington, and Wallingford. This role is flexible and impactful—drivers choose rides based on their availability using our easy-to-use scheduling software. Even a small commitment of just two rides per month makes a big difference for older adults who rely on these services to age safely in their own homes. Responsibilities include: Transporting clients to essential appointments Providing friendly, respectful assistance Logging mileage and time in STS software Following STS safety guidelines STS provides: Mileage reimbursement Supplemental auto insurance coverage Flexible scheduling Magnetic vehicle signage Ongoing staff support Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 rides per month Contact: Email: sts@seniorrides.org
