About Literacy Volunteers of Central Connecticut

Literacy Volunteers of Central CT (LVCC) is a nonprofit that provides tutoring for adults. The majority of our students are immigrants who are learning English, but we also provide basic literacy classes for English speakers, help students prepare for the US citizenship test, and teach digital literacy classes. LVCC provides services in 17 central CT towns, but the need is highest in New Britain. All classes are taught by volunteer tutors who are asked to commit to two hours of tutoring per week.
