Description
Plainville Early Learning Center is currently seeking dedicated, community-minded volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors. Board members play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide high-quality, affordable early care and education in a safe, nurturing environment for children and families.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about strengthening our community, willing to share their skills and expertise, and committed to actively participating in meetings, events, and organizational planning. We are seeking individuals with the following skills, experience and interests: finance, accounting personnel, human resources, administration, management, nonprofit experience, community service, policy development, program evaluation, public relations, communications, education, instruction, special events, grant writing, fundraising, outreach, advocacy, and/or law.

Plainville Early Learning Center, Inc. is a nonprofit, state-funded early childhood program committed to providing affordable, high-quality, year-round care and education for children and families, primarily those with low to moderate incomes. We serve children ages twelve months through twelve years in a safe, nurturing environment where dedicated educators support each child’s social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development. Our center believes children learn best through diverse cultural, social, and educational experiences, along with active play that supports growth in all areas of development. We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where every child feels secure, valued, and confident.
